On December 31, 1997 (New Year's Eve) Ben, Joe, and Bryan rented the movie "North to Alaska", grabbed a few beers and settled in to enjoy the coming of the new year.  Little did they know that evening would lay the initial groundwork for Ben and Joe's Journey to ALASKA the following summer.

We departed Paw Paw, Michigan on the morning of July 14, 1998  to begin the week long drive to Alaska.  The total trip put 12,000 miles on the Yukon, and on Ben and Joe.

I will have more pictures later, but the following should give you an idea of the month long adventure we had!     This is Ben with his Yukon, at the Gateway to Alaska!   And then beautiful Valdez, Alaska   Ben and Joe Climbed Skyscraper Mountain.   Joe did a little bit of fly fishing for Salmon.     They backpacked into Denali Park and enjoyed a sunset.      Back to Fat Boy Adventures
