Date:            Labor Day Weekend, 1996

Right around Labor Day in 1996, the Fat Boys were called upon to head into the river at Ben's house and open up a basic navigation channel for canoes.  Their payment would be one dinner, prepared by Ben's mom.  They set out upon the task with Gusto, and were looking forward to a full day of fun and frolic in the muck and water of the river!

It didn't take our band of merry men long to find a log just waiting for "the treatment" from Joe and his Machete (*Whack-Chete*)

But, the river would not be beaten so easily.  After much work with the Two-Man saw, the Fat Boys were feeling pretty good....  Then they rounded the corner and saw this:

At this point, an executive decision was made.  If anyone else wanted to canoe on this part of the river, they were going to have to earn it for themselves!

Satisfied with their decision to move on, the Fat Boys fought their way down to the bridge where Ben's Blazer sat waiting to take them home to dinner.  They did remember one essential ritual though.  Before exiting the river, they enjoyed a round of cigars together!

Before dinner, they had to take care of their equipment and clean up.  Before putting everything away, they gathered at the back of the Blazer to pose for one last picture:

You can mark this one up as one more fun and successful day in the woods for the four Fat Boys!
(The only casualty was the leg on Joe's BDUs)
